DraftKings NBA DFS Core Plays & Cheat Sheet – January 30, 2020

Sharing core plays and a cheat sheet for January 30, 2020, NBA DFS slate on DraftKings.

In this post, we will be breaking down our top options and plays for DraftKings for each night of the 2019-2020 NBA DFS season.

Core Plays

PG/SG-Shake Milton-$4,200

With Josh Richardson out for the 76ers, Milton is getting a chance to show what he can do. Milton has started the past two games for the 76ers and has played at least 23 minutes in each of their past three games. In those three games, Milton is averaging nine points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 19.83 fantasy points. Tonight we should see Milton put up similar if not better numbers as the 76ers take on a bad Hawks defense. This season the Hawks have the third-worst defensive net rating and are allowing the second-most fantasy points per game to shooting guards. What I love most about Milton tonight is his salary. At only $4,200 in salary, Milton gives you the roster flexibility needed to roster some of the studs you are going to want on this slate.

SG/SF-Bradley Beal-$9,400

Beal’s salary is finally back up to what it was before he missed some time with an injury but even at his elevated salary, I feel Beal is a bit underpriced tonight as he is playing out of his mind right now. Beal has at least 36 points scored in four straight games for the Wizards and is averaging 40.3 points in those games. Beal has at least 50 fantasy points in each of those four games. Beal is not just scoring at will right now but he is also in a great match-up as the Wizards take on the Hornets. This season the Hornets rank in the bottom ten in team defensive net rating, defensive efficiency to shooting guards, and fantasy points allowed per game to shooting guards. Beal is going to go for 50 plus fantasy points once again with ease tonight and I would really be shocked if he didn’t finish as one of the top two scores on this slate.

PF/C-Marquese Chriss-$4,500

There is a lot to like with Chriss at this salary as he has played really solid basketball this season especially over the past four games for the Warriors. In those four games, Chriss is averaging 13.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.3 steals+blocks. Chriss has produced at least 22 fantasy points in each of those games and has reached at least 24 fantasy points in each of the past two games since the trade of Willie Cauley-Stien. With Kevon Looney still out for at least one more game for the Warriors tonight, we should see Chriss with another solid game even in a not so great match-up against Boston.

C-Serge Ibaka-$7,100

I wish Ibaka was a little cheaper tonight but even at his salary, I am having a hard time not rostering him tonight with Marc Gasol out. This season in the 12 games that Ibaka has played that Gasol has missed this season, Ibaka is averaging 18.1 points, 10.3 rebounds, and a block. Ibaka has at least 33 fantasy points in ten of those 12 games including in each of the past eight games without Gasol. Ibaka has not only put up big numbers with Gasol out but the match-up against the Cavs doesn’t get much better. This season the Cavs are allowing the eighth-most fantasy points per game to centers.
